Breakfast Mocktail with Barleycup and Raisins

Ingredients:
  • 100 g rolled oats
  • 200 ml semi-skimmed milk (or a non dairy alternative)
  • 1 tablespoon Barleycup (6g)
  • 20 g raisins
  • seeds from half vanilla pod
  • 1 teaspoon of honey (or more for a sweeter taste)
Method:

1: Place the oats in a pan and cover with water and cook according to the instructions on the pack. Once cooked leave to cool slightly then pour into a blender

2: Add milk, raisins, Barleycup, vanilla seeds* and honey to the blender and whiz the mocktail until smooth. Add a little more milk if necessary and more honey if you prefer a sweeter taste.

3: Pour into a glass to serve.

*Cook’s Tip: Use a small, sharp knife to cut the vanilla pod lengthwise and to take the seeds out
